How can I earn Jannah?

Who will enter Jannah first? How to get a place in Jannah besides our beloved prophet? A lot of questions are asked mon Muslims to conclude how to make Allah happy. It is very simple but not so easy; the condition is to obey Allah and avoid bad deeds. It is not so easy because there are plenty of temptations that became more reachable and handy available. Besides, the life cycle is running very fast and you may find yourself so busy to think about your creator and religion. Jannah is a real and valuable award for those who made a big effort during their life. They deserve Jannah for their belief in Allah and his messengers with their hearts. But you must know that the mercy of Allah is the secret of the acceptance of your attempts.

Surah Ali-Imran: “Say, [O Muḥammad], If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.(31)”

Who will enter Jannah first?

Anas bin Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: I will come to the gate of paradise on the Day of Resurrection and would seek its opening and the keeper would say, “Who are you?” I will say, “Muhammed.” He would then say, “It is for you that I have been ordered and not to open it for anyone before you.”

The Prophet Muhammed (saw) will be the first person to enter Jannah (paradise) of whom it is reported through an authentic hadith its keeper will not allow anyone else in. From his ummah, his companion will be the first person to enter Jannah.

Abu Hurairah narrated: The Messenger (saw) said: “Gabriel came and taking me by the hand showed me the gate of jannah (paradise) by which my people will enter.” Abu Bakr then said: “Messenger of Allah! I wish I had been with you so that I might have looked at it.” The Messenger of Allah (saw) then said: “You, Abu Bakr, will be the first of my people to enter Paradise.” (Abu Dawud)

What does Jannah look like?

Sahl bin Sa’d (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “I was in the company of the Prophet (PBUH). He gave a description of Jannah and concluded with these words, “There will be bounties which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human heart has ever perceived.” He (PBUH) then recited this Verse: “Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Rubb in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allah’s Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them. No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy…” (32:16,17)
There are some specific characters we already know:
  1. Angles will greet them and no hatred nor anger in Jannah
  2. Many beautiful gardens with greenery, flowers, and flowing water
  3. You can find your family and friends with you
  4. Comfortable life and endless wishes come true
  5. There will be plenty of food and drinks with no limits
  6. The companion of the prophets and good people

What are the 7 levels of heaven?

Jannah has seven levels and each level is made up of 100 grades. According to the person’s deeds, Firdaus is also understood as the Highest and nearest part of Jannah to Allah just beneath his throne:

  • Jannatul Ma’wa:

Surah As-Sajdah: “As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, for them will be the Gardens of Refuge (Ma’wa) as accommodation for what they used to do(19)”

  • Darul Maqaam:

Surah Fatir: “He who has settled us in the home of duration [Darul Maqaam] out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind](35)”

  • Darul Salaam:

Surah Al-An’am: “For them will be the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do(127)”

  • Darul Khuld:

Surah Al-Furqan: “Say: Is that better or the Garden of Eternity (khuld) which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination(15)”

  • Jannat Adan:

Surah As-Saf: “He will forgive for you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. That is the great attainment(12)”

  • Jannat-ul-Naeem:

Surah Yunus: “Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them, rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure(9)”

  • Jannat-ul-Firdous:

Surah Al-Kahf: “Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging(107)”

What is the only unforgivable sin in Islam?

All sins can be forgiven except that you worship anyone or anything besides Allah. It is not allowed in Islam to share Allah with any partners. If the person didn’t repent and stop thinking about this, he will never enter Jannah. In Islam, this is called the monotheism principle (At-Tawheed). Allah expresses that meaning in Surah Al-Ikhlas:

“Say: He is Allah, [who is] One(1) Allah, the Eternal Refuge(2) He neither begets nor is born(3) Nor is there to Him any equivalent(4)”

Also, we should know who will be the last person to enter Jannah and how. When Allah ends judging between all people to get what they deserve, he looks for those still in hell. He (The Merciful), asks his angels if there is anybody who didn’t worship anyone besides Allah to remove him from the hell. Then after that, there would be one man remaining, facing the fire, and he would be the last of the people to enter Jannah. This last person will continue begging Allah to forgive him and let him out from the hell. This person is also Muslim but made plenty of sins during his life, however, Allah will send him finally to Jannah.
