Islam is growing so fast simply because it is the truth. The world is full of other religions but Islam is completely different. When you study Islam, you will find that it is a real miracle. There are some proofs that Islam is the last message from Allah to human beings. Our Holy Book, the Quran was revealed to an illiterate messenger, our beloved prophet (PBUH). Islam is the religion of peace and good manners, and this is why it is very interesting. Many scientists become Muslims every day because of the scientific information that presents inside the Quran from 1400 years ago. On another note, you can find all answers you need from Allah among the Quran pages and the prophet’s hadith.
Surah Al-Ma’idah: “This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islām as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin – then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (3)”
On the other side, life before Islam was very dull and full of hardness. Allah wanted to warn us and teach all humans how to live in this life in halal (honestly) and win the Jannah afterlife. Those bad days were full of unfairness and crimes such as theft, killing, and adultery. Islam came to change everything into the best.
Why is Islam spreading so fast?
According to recent researches, the global Muslim population increased at an average annual rate of 2.2%. By 2030 Muslims are projected to represent about 26.4% of the global population (out of a total of 7.9 billion people). Islam is the only religion that offers you many answers to this question (Why Islam?). Allah has explained all the basic fundamentals of this religion. This is the only religion that allows you to ask about the creation of the universe and guess what, the answers exist.
Islam is very easy to understand, no matter what’s your native language. Our amazing religion considers a message to the universe. It never attacks other religions, it asks to study Islam then compare and choose. Islam is very tolerated with the non-Muslim people because Allah ordered us to treat each other with mercy, Women have a special status in Islam concerning all aspects of life such as marriage and motherhood. Allah indicated all the rights of women in his Holy Quran to be applied easily.
What are the rules of Islam?
On the authority of Ibn Omar, the son of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with both, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah says: “Islam has been built on five [pillars]: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammed is the messenger of Allah, performing the prayers, paying the zakat, fasting in Ramadan, and making the pilgrimage to the House.”
One of the reasons Islam growing so fast is its simple rules. There are five essential rules in Islam; those rules called “The Five Pillars Of Islam”:
1)The profession of Faith (shahada):
To be Muslim, the first and essential step is to believe that Allah is the only God and the prophet Muhammed is his messenger. This concept is the backbone of Islam and without it, you are in another religion.
2) Prayer (salat):
Allah requested us to pray for him facing Mecca five times per day. Our prayers are put throughout the whole day to be in touch with Allah all the time. Salat includes some movements plus reading some verses of the Holy Quran and of course asking Allah what we need (duaa’).
3) Alms (zakat):
Allah obligated a kind of charity on Muslims called zakat. This action aims to let us help each other especially the needy at least once a year. This manner can create a loving and strong Ummah (community) Also this zakat can be used to spread Islam by building mosques and schools.
4) Fasting (sawm):
Fasting is to stop eating and drinking during the daylight hours during Ramadan. It has some conditions such as you must be in a good health and not on your way traveling. Fasting is required from Muslims to teach them the greatest lesson ever “it is not impossible to stop the bad manners as you stoped the halal ones”.
5) Pilgrimage (hajj):
The pilgrimage of Muslims is to visit and pray at Mecca and this is done only once a year. Allah obligated it if you are in a good health and own enough money to do it. You are asked to do it only one time during your life.
Hijab rules in Islam
Surah Al-Ahzab: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (59)”
Islam growing so fast because it rewarded and grant women’s rights. So among the woman’s rights is to be protected especially if she is going to work. Allah asked Muslim women to take care of what they are wearing to keep themselves safe. A Hijab is to cover your head and wears loose clothes suitable for your body and elegance. Hijab should be worn in front of all men except your father, brother, husband, son, uncle, step-son, grandfather, father-in-law, nephew, and son-in-law. Also, there is Niqab which is worn in conjunction with a khimar or hijab, covers the mouth and nose but leaves the eyes open/clear. Actually, the hijab in Islam protects men from themselves although they must turn a blind eye when speaking to women.
Prayer rules in Islam
Surah An-Nisa: ” And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times. (103)”
Prayer in Islam is one of the most important orders from Allah to Muslims. Among all acts of worship, its acceptance by Allah makes all other acts accepted and vice versa. We pray five times every day: Dawn prayers (Fajr), Midday (Zuhr), Afternoon prayers (‘Asr), Dusk prayers (Maghrib), and Night prayers (‘Isha).
Here are some rules to pray in the best way:
- Prepare a clean place, clothes, and carpet for your own salah.
- The timing of each prayer is the most important rule.
- Your wudu’ should be right.
- Your praying clothes should cover your whole body (for women) or your shoulders and from the naval to the knee (for men)
- Say your intention secretly before starting your salah.
- Be sure that you focus while praying (reverence).
